Founded in 1982 and based in Sunnyvale / San Jose, California, Basant Bahar is one of the oldest and most prominent non-profit volunteer organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of North Indian (Hindustani) Classical Music and Dance. The organization hosts year-round music appreciation programs, a dedicated BB Kids Competition for upcoming artists, and major classical property showcases—such as their flagship August 2026 Splendors of Sitar concert series
