A history of Women in Carnatic Music

SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth)
Established in 1977 at IIT Delhi, this globally recognized non-profit voluntary movement is dedicated to enriching formal education by raising awareness about Indian heritage and classical arts. Supported by the Indian Ministry of Culture, the organization curates prominent national concert series, large-scale student conventions, overnight music intensives, and lecture-demonstrations (Virasat and Saparya) inside academic institutions worldwide.
