School of Indian Percussion and Music (SIPM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas, USA, founded in 2008 by tabla maestro Pandit Gourisankar Karmakar. The organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical music, with a special focus on tabla and Indian percussion. SIPM offers individual and group training, workshops, lecture-demonstrations, student recitals, and presents professional Indian classical music concerts featuring renowned artists from India and abroad. It also provides online instruction and cultural outreach programs to promote Indian musical traditions globally.
